AOL USER TIPS

There are features of this website that are not very AOL friendly.

I don’t know why.

However, to see the newest version of each page on this site, you have to be able to ‘refresh’ and/or re-load the pages.  Using the AOL browser apparently is less than wonderfully equipped to do so.  Take it up with them.

However.

TIP #1:  Once you have gotten on the internet using AOL as you normally would, open INTERNET EXPLORER.  Go to the BCNC website, and when you want to make sure you are getting THE most update page from the website (and not the old one stored in your computers memory), just click on the refresh button at the top of the screen.  It looks like a little piece of paper with curved arrows on it.  It says:  Refresh

TIP #2:  If you want to use your AOL browser, supposedly you can hold down the control key on your keyboard at the same time as you click on the AOL refresh button.  I say supposedly because when I tried talking an AOL user through this process it didn’t work… this tip may be dependent on which version of AOL you are using.

TIP #3:

AOL Users - Refresh Problems?

If you are an AOL user using the AOL Browser and the screen does not "refresh", even when you click the "refresh" icon (the clock-wise arrow), you may need to force a purge of your cache.  To do so, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the "My AOL" icon at the top,
  2. Select "Preferences" from the drop-down list,
  3. Click the "WWW" icon,
  4. Click the "Advanced WWW" button,
  5. Click the "Purge Cache" button.

This will delete all old screens that you have visited and should force a true refresh on any screen you visit after completing this procedure.

Good Luck
